Wal-Mart and work...

Being at work now means that we're really not doing a whole lot else, though we did go to Wal-Mart yesterday. Our boss Ali took us down to Squamish (a full 55 km away) where the nearest one is, and we bought a lamp and pillows and other boring stuff for our room, a 1kg box of exclusively oat cheerios, because they didn't have the 4 grain version in such a big box and Spore... along with a couple of other things. It wasn't the biggest Wal-Mart ever, but it still sold just about everything from street hockey goals to some strange kind of mint marmalade.

We're in our room in the house now, it's pretty small, but big enough for us. Unfortunately, it does have a sloping roof, which is easily low enough to hit your head on on the lower side. Also, the mountain biking guys that have been living here over the summer have pretty low standards of hygeine, so we've had to clean up the bathroom and kitchen already. Still, we pretty much get to be in charge of the winter guests so we'll make sure it doesn't get in a state again.

Robyn is at work dishwashing in the diner right now, and I'm stuck on the Tribal phase of Spore because micromanagement with a laptop touchpad mouse is rubbish. Still, I get to go do some work at the diner in about half an hour, which is more rubbish.

This has been a bit of a boring post, but we're probably going to go hiking tomorrow, because neither of us are working at the diner, so once we've cleaned the hostel around lunchtime we're free to do what we like. Hopefully we'll have some pictures and stuff to upload soon.

Hey guys, How you doin. All the fun of the fair at wall-mart then. Did they have a gun/bow/blow dart counter? Or is that only south carolina? Nothing exciting happening here. Had a rubbish ofsted at work, surprise surprise we scraped a satisfactory. So, I've responded in a very mature way by playing practical jokes on people, and then getting them to beleive it was someone else, and telling them how they can retaliate. I know eventually it'll come back and bite me on the arse but it's fun. And besides, when everyone twigs, I'll play the well it did cheer everyone up after ofsted card, and hopefully I'll only receive slight damage. I actually got some training for my job the other day! It was full of people who started two weeks ago as it was an introductory course, but hey, I only had to wait 9 months. Hoping for a relaxing weekend now after the mudfest last weekend. (We've actually seen some sun this week).
Be good and take care
love Muuuuuuuurrrrrrm P.S did you reply to Spike, I see he left you a comment

Hi you two. Been enjoying reading your news updates. In fact I got used to reading them every morning with a cup of coffee, so, the first time you didn't post, I missed it and my coffee didn't taste the same. The photos look great, fantastic scenery, I'm really envious. Bruce is fine at the moment and she sends her love. Paul is not so good, it looks like he might have Diabetes, we're waiting on the blood test results. Michael showed me how to send a comment, so now I know how, I can do it again.Oh, by the way Bobs, I read Seplechure, I thought it was very good, so thanks for giving it to me. Anyway no more news, I lead a very boring life, nothing ever happens to wtite about. Speak to you later, love you, Granny

Sorry we've not been posting but the most exciting thing that has happened in the last few days is that I got beer and a steak for $2.50. (Go work discount.)

Hiking tomorrow if my poorly eye is better so we should have some new photos xxx
